Welcome to Lego®-based Therapy Online Training - a CPD-accredited programme designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills to deliver meaningful, child-centred Lego®-based Therapy.

In this video, Beata Bednarska, your trainer and mentor, introduces the structure and aims of the training and explains how to maximise your learning journey.

Here’s what you’ll learn in this introduction:
🧱 About the course:

·       The training is divided into seven modules, each containing three short video lessons and supporting resources.

·       You can access one lesson each week, but the course is flexible, so you can study at your own pace and revisit materials anytime.

·       Most learners complete the training within 4–10 weeks (but this is personal and depends on your time availability), after which you’ll receive a CPD certificate of attendance (after the case studies and other tasks submission).

🧱 What you’ll cover:

·       Module 1: Understanding autism, social communication, and best practice in supporting children with special educational needs.

·       Module 2: The origins of Lego®-based Therapy, key research, and how brick play supports development and brain integration.

·       Module 3: Practical principles — how to plan sessions, group children, use rules, reward systems, and deliver collaborative builds and activities.

·       Module 4: A hands-on module with 16 short video lessons guiding you through the Play and Learn: Fun with Bricks programme — your first step in facilitating real sessions.

·       Modules 5–7: Advanced skills in assessment, planning, and evaluation, followed by the full Brick-by-Brick Programme — a complete 8-week plan with templates and resources that could be easily adapted or delivered in double time.

🧱 Your facilitator journey:

It is a graduate journey. After completing the first three modules, which provide an overview of best practices and foundational knowledge, you will practise your facilitator skills.

You will start by delivering 3–6 Play and Learn sessions, gaining practical experience before advancing to full therapy delivery.

Beata emphasises that Lego®-based Therapy is more than just play — it is a structured, evidence-based method to help children develop communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction skills.

You will complete the assessment module, which will help you understand how to evaluate, target, and reflect on the results - or their absence.

You are encouraged to participate, reflect, and question through the comments section under each lesson

Then you will learn about the therapeutic process and your responsibilities as the facilitator. Finally, you will gain access to the planning tools and all the resources needed to deliver your first Lego®-based therapy session in your own setting.

You can also arrange a Zoom or TEAMS call with Beata if you'd like. Just email Beata at bea@beainclusive with your question and some available dates.

Bea Inclusive's office hours vary, as Beata is practising as a psychotherapist. She has a 48-hour policy for answering emails.

Welcome once more to the Bea Inclusive Lego®-based Therapy Self-Paced Training — where together we build communication, confidence, and connection, one brick at a time.
